Hello Friends,
I hope you have had a very bright summer, full of vibrant and positive impressions!
I am more than happy to announce that the cinematic version of the project “The SCRIABIN SONATAS Reimagined, Part 1” has been successfully released together with the final performance of the project at the Schouwburg Hengelo Theater in the Netherlands on September 7, 2019. The project combines my interpretation of the first Five Piano Sonatas by Alexander Scriabin along with artistic video collages created by my collaborator Arletta Elst, with Planet Earth as the main subject matter. We wanted to artistically represent the beauty of our planet VS the destruction that occurs because of the human impact and bring awareness to the environmental issues in our world.
I am tremendously grateful to Arletta Elst for the production of the film, as well as to the entire Intertwining Arts team for organizing and promoting this work, and to our friends and supporters, who contributed to our organization in any way. The project is officially closed.
Yours,
Elina Akselrud
Artistic Director, Intertwining Arts
Elina Akselrud is founder of Intertwining Arts and creator of CROSSOVER ART PROJECTS- piano performance blended with other visual and performing art genres. Intertwining Arts has been a member of Fractured Atlas since 2016 and is based between New York and Lucerne, Switzerland.
How has Fractured Atlas benefitted your artistic practice?
Fractured Atlas gave a way for Intertwining Arts to become an organization. This is crucial for every kind of creative professional that is seriously oriented towards presenting their work. The Intertwining Arts team has successfully presented two multidisciplinary performance projects. The first one, “CHOPIN: A Letter through the Parisian Years,” unites live music, photography, and theater in one multifaceted performance. It was performed in Paris, France; Zurich and Lucerne, Switzerland; and Munich, Germany. Its cinematic version was released in Paris, France and is currently available on YouTube.
