The SCENTS for the Project’s LIVE PREMIERE PERFORMANCE

are unique custom-made aromas, created by the Japanese perfume/olfactory artist Naoko Kusunoki, who works in her Tokyo Studio Your Exclusive.

Naoko has elaborated on Alexander Scriabin’s ideas for each of the Late Five Sonatas: she took into consideration not only the music, but also the plot, the message, the emotional state, the color of each tonal center, as well as the evidence Scriabin himself left us with, according to historical sources. She has then produced five aromas, specifically tailored to each of the Late Sonatas. You can see her work process by exploring the mind map above that she has kindly provided to publish.
