MESSIAEN. A BIRDSOUL, FILM RELEASE DATE ANNOUNCEMENT!

This online premiere will mark the Film Release of the 4th Intertwining Arts multidisciplinary project "Messiaen. A BIRDSOUL". It is an artistic collaboration in a theatrical setting: a combination of music, choreography/dance photo&3D projections, costume design, and stage direction. Multiple artistic elements are woven together to express a plot with a story of a young bird learning how to fly, growing and becoming mature over time, willing to take a risk in order to stay true to her aspirations.

Dear Friends,

It is a huge honor for me to take this opportunity and to thank the entire Intertwining Arts Team for being so great and strong, to thank our audience for showing up despite the unusual seating policies and necessity to keep social distancing, our venue Theater Pavillon Luzern and the provider of our wonderful C.Bechstein B-212 grand piano Musikhaus Gisler for being so flexible and willing to help, and of course, all our supporters for making the premiere and shooting of the film of the project “Messiaen. a BIRDSOUL” happen!

The entire project team worked tirelessly for many countless months developing the concept, planning the staging, learning the repertoire/choreography, preparing for the film shooting and performing... In the spring we have learned the news that the project must be postponed from June due to the COVID-19. We did not know until a few weeks beforehand whether the it would still happen in August, however we were extremely lucky that it was possible!

A grand Thank You from the bottom of my heart goes to every single person and organization who has contributed to creating “Messiaen. a BIRDSOUL” in any way. I cannot wait to start the postproduction of the film! I hope that all of you will have a peaceful wrap up of the summer and that this strange year will be looking up for all from now on. Thank you for being with us.

Sincerely,
Elina Akselrud
